Sunbelt Personal Firewall is a network utility that protects your PC from undesirable incoming and outgoing traffic that could harm or slow down your PC.
Sunbelt Personal Firewall lists the applications that generate traffic (incoming or outgoing) and you’re able to permit or deny this traffic. If an application tries to generate traffic a popup window notifies about this application, its location and the kind of traffic that is generating to allow or block this application.
There are some predefined elements on the network security like the Dynamic Host Configuration, the Domain Name System, Virtual Private Network and broadcast among others are trusted for In and Out traffic but some don’t like the Ping and Tracert that doesn’t allow incoming requests from Internet.
Sunbelt Personal Firewall detects and blocks recognized attacks scanning the network traffic by enabling the Network Intrusion Prevention System (NIPS). Also prevents attacks to vulnerable applications identifying an unusual behavior that affect the applications by enabling the Host Intrusion and Prevention System (HIPS). |
